I struggled with the Nismo at Indy for a couple of days.  My times placed me in worse than 15,000 position.  I could not grab that gold.  That GT-R and me don't get along too well.

I had an hour after work today to try and improve.  I went to GTPlanet first.  I grabbed the first tune I found for it.  Slapped it on my car and went out on track.

In 2 laps I went from a 15000plus ranking to the 874rd ranking.

Man, I suck giant balls at tuning on my own!!!

I saw last night you're on top of my friends list for lap time at Indy. I did my own base tune and was able to get gold, but I might have to re-try with the Praiano tune. He is definitely a great tuner and I have used several of his tunes in the past. His tune for the FGT car makes a huge difference and easily got me gold at the Silverstone challenge a little while back. Using other peoples tunes has taught me a lot about tuning and I'm still not great at it by any means. I have created an online room a couple times with the intent of running some serious laps on a car to do tuning, but usually others enter and we just end up racing. It takes some patience to work out a tune on a car and I am more of a 'go fast right meow' kind of guy.

You may need to tune it a bit, but the MP4-12C can win the Nurburgring Seasonal.

I tried the Rocket a couple times, came in 3th easily. I think with the right rabbits, it'll win.

My Rocket and the Audi TT got me P1.  (4 attempts in the rocket and 2 in the Audi TT)

If the Zonda was in the race, I could not win.  Exit out and restart.

I agree, getting slower AI opponents helps a lot. I used the Nissan GT-R Black Edition with Praiano's tune (pre 1.09) and was running pretty close to 7 minute laps, but still finishing 3rd and 4th. I exited and restarted until I had a Buck Special on pole, and easily took 1st place before the straight.

The nice thing is I made almost 2 million in credits in my attempts to get 1st

Yup, I raced a few number of times, each time when the Zonda was in the line up, it finished about 10 secs in front at the end.

Once, I had my X-Bow in front of 3 cars at the back straight (I think it was around the beginning of Tiergarten) and took the lead.  However, once out of the draft, my car did not have the proper gear to keep the high speed, and subsequently, got punted off....was I pee'd off.  After that race, I could not drive with a cool head and have to quit for the night.

With a Zonda and something I don't recognise, a One-77 somethingorother, both starting at the front, I beat it with the MP4, but you may have to work for it.

The Tommykaira ZZII '00 will also beat them.
