So the Suzy race allows that GSXR?  Damn.  Leader boards are gonna be full with that ringer.

I'll give others cars a go before I end up in that thing.  I feel like I'm cheating using that car.  I know I'm not, as everybody uses it.

Lotus, RUF 3400, and the NSX will be my starters.

Good luck guys.  I look forward to chasing those blue lines.

Last night the top time was actually posted with a NSX LM road car. I am thinking the longer straights at Suzy favor a higher HP car. But for me personally I always prefer a light car even more so as the tires we are using are more towards the low end of possibility. There was a TT at Mid Field a month or two ago where I think hardly anyone used the GSXR4  they all chose HP over light weight but I was able to be at a much lower HP and make the most out of the tires by going light. Got killed on the straights but would reel everyone back in and then some under braking and by carrying speed through the turns. It allowed me to top my friends list by taking this approach.

I am happy just to get Golds, so being at the top of my friends list is a distant wish, nowadays. I look for more challenging cars, esp ones that I haven't even used yet.

At Suzuka, I used the BMW M4 Coupe'. It barely makes it at full spec (no turbos, either). Good enough for Gold, though. The Viper Team ORECA @ Silverstone also made me work for it.

Using oddball cars can make it very challenging.

They aren't necessarily oddball, but they tend to be high in my "available cars" list.

Seems there's not much going on over in Pc world and gt has been cooperating, so I've been playing a tad bit more often.  Even got to race with Dude for a couple races last week,   :)

So I tried out the Suzuka seasonal to see the new version (haven't been there since the change) and was having some fun.  After some tuning and laps in the NSX I got down to a 2:07.265. Puts me at 72 for the moment and close to my target time, so I'll be back for more.  I'll probably try the gsxr last, as it seems to be a tad better than the nsx.

That's just it, no one around anymore and don't always feel like trying open rooms, so I kinda stopped playing (although the miatas interest me greatly).

Back to the subject at hand, my target of a top 50 might be pushing it.  I think I need a 206.6/7 to do that comfortably.  I know there are at least 2 more tenths for me, but a half second is going to be tough.

What tune are you using for the NSX Dude?

I will double check and see if he altered it, but it should be this.

Getting there, but still off my target. Found 2 more tenths for a 207.015. My target was a high 6, but it's getting harder and harder to get there.

Thanks for the tune Dude. Was a little loose for my taste, but I adapted a couple things from that tune to mine.  Very happy with what I have now.

Fucking Pescarolo wrecked me twice... had to run this race three times to win it.

It was weird though... that early high speed lefthander before the right hander backed by sand that leads downhill... the Bentley Speed 8 wiped out BIG time there in 2 separate races. One time I came around that corner at 200 mph and it was just parked sideways in the middle of the track. Not sure the last time I saw the AI careening off track with big accidents. Kinda cool.
